Lords of the Valley

Event Date:
June 23, 2014 - 10:00am
Goethe-Institut, Washington D.C.

This role-playing simulation board game was developed by the Poland-based Centre for Systems Solutions, and has been used by public and private organizations in Hungary, Poland, Belgium, Spain, Netherlands, Germany and Austria for improving communication and collaboration. Players take the roles of people living in a river valley prone to droughts and floods. Making decisions on behalf of individuals and organizations, they face facing challenges arising from the decisions of other players and the unpredictability of the environment. Lords of the Valley is a laboratory for practicing strategy, collaboration and leadership in a complex environment. Participants in this day-long event, including a debriefing, will learn how to align goals, negotiate and coordinate actions to achieve success for their organization and its partners.

No charge. RSVP to www.goetheinstitutwashington.eventbrite.com. For more information, click here to download an overview of the game.
